In the textbook, read pages 538 – 544 and 596 – 619 and Outline, and then complete the following

• Compare and contrast the causes of the America and French Revolutions.
• What were the lasting reforms of the French Revolution
• Discuss the ways in which Latin American states were successful in shaking off their colonial past and the problems that remained that were characteristic of colonial society.

In the textbook, read pages 544 – 558 and Outline, then complete the following:

·         What changes led to industrialization?

·         What changes in social organization did industrialization cause?

·         Reexamine the reading on pages 547 – 548.  Respond to the questions at the end.
